How to decode/differenciate Intel Processors by Their Name

When you first look at Intel processors names it might feel overwhelming. Eventhough it looks like just bunch of random numbers and letter, it stilll serves its purpose. Which is to differenciate processors within a certain series. There are few things we need to know to understand what the weird name in Intel processors represent. Each Intel processor name consiste of several parts such as: 

Intel -

The brand of the processor 

Product Brand -

The product brand. Intel has Core, Core Ultra, Pentium and Celeron.

Series -

Indicating processors in a certain series such as i5, i7 or i9.

Generation -

Which generation the processor falls under. The higher the gen, the better it is.

SKU -

Stock Keeping Unit. Differentiates processors within the same generation and series. Higher SKU such as 900 means better performance.

Suffix -

Different letters to indicate performace type. See the image below:

Now lets get into breaking down each part in an Intel CPU name. We will use the Intel CPU named "Intel Core i9-13980HX" for this example.
